Geneva Palexpo

Going under the name of ‘Vision 20XX’, GENEVA PALEXPO’s project to develop its facilities will enable it to satisfy the demands of a constantly-evolving and increasingly competitive market.

The projected changes to the infrastructure are the following: the renovation of the Congress Centre, the creation of new rooms and offices within Halls 4 & 5, the expansion of Hall 6, a new link between Halls 6 & 7, a direct pedestrian link to the adjacent Crowne Plaza hotel and a remodelling of outdoor areas.

These adaptations will increase flexibility and enable the development of parallel events.

The work will take place over several years, so as not to interfere with the smooth-running of the centre’s operations, and their planning will be adjusted according to the event calendar, taking into account the needs of partners and clients alike. The cost of the entire work is estimated to be in the region of 100 million Swiss francs.

Renovation work on the Congress Centre began on 1st September this year. Geneva Palexpo’s Congress Centre will be entirely refurbished by March 2009. This upgrade will represent a significant investment of more than 8 million Swiss francs, excluding furniture.
