AIME 09 breaks records as visitors numbers rise by 9.6%. A good indication of the state of the industry: The Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB) and regional Victoria initiated a special bushfire appeal and collected donations at their joint stand. A total of AU$15,000, which included significant contributions from RTE and MCVB, was raised during the two-day trade fair. AirAsia launched daily service between Bangkok and Bali last month. Equipment used on this route is an Airbus A320 aircraft.
