The Conference Center Bonn recently celebrated the Topping-out ceremony for its new extension, which includes additional event space and the new World Conference Hotel. Bonn served as Germany’s capital city prior to German reunification and Conference Center Bonn housed the German Parliament.
The building includes a 2,500 sqm/26,910 sqft main hall, which accommodates 3,500 theatre style, a large foyer with glass ceiling to be used for exhibitions, receptions or presentations and four conference halls that accommodate from 345 to 600 attendees. The adjoining, 17-story World Conference Hotel Bonn has 336 guest rooms and suites, restaurants, Spa and an Executive Lounge located on the top floor. The Congress building will open by end of 2009 and the hotel will open in early 2010.

The Corinthia Budapest Gate Resort is being built in Bicske, a resort town located 38 kilometers from Budapest. The resort will be situated on 280 hectares of land and include two properties, an 18-hole championship golf course, a Spa, and a 3,000 sqm/32,393 sqft conference facility with event and exhibition space and the largest ballroom in Hungary.
The Budapest Gate Resorts’ properties will include the 5-Star Corinthia Budapest Hotel with 200-guest rooms and the Corinthia Budapest Gate Residences with 700 deluxe serviced apartment suites.
The resort, which is scheduled to open in 2012, is located close to the Budapest–Vienna motorway. A casino and an Aqua park are also planned for the latter stages of development of the Budapest Gate Resort.

Emirates Airlines is enhancing its European routes that originate in Dubai with more frequencies, and more non-stop services from Dubai to European cities.
Malta service will begin operating daily in December and Nice service will upgrade to non-stop with five frequencies at the same time. Earlier this year, the Milan and Rome services went daily, non-stop. London Heathrow is set to welcome Emirates’ new A380 jet in December.
The airline will increase service to Cyprus service from five flights a week to daily on 1st December. The Dubai/Cyprus route will fly from Dubai to Larnaca Airport in Cyprus and continue on to Malta.

United Airlines launched nonstop service to Dubai last month.
Flight depart Washington’s Dulles Airport (IAD) and fly to Dubai (DBX) using a Boeing 777 aircraft configured with 10 United First Suite seats, 45 United Business® seats and 198 United Economy® seats, including 84 Economy Plus® seats.
Next March, UA will inaugurate service from Washington Dulles Airport to Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport. The equipment to be used on the Moscow route will be a Boeing 767 aircraft configured with 10 United First® seats, 32 United Business® seats and 141 United Economy® class seats, including 67 Economy Plus® seats.
Both the Boeing 767 and the Boeing 777 aircraft will receive United’s product enhancement, which upgrades the aircraft to create the optimal space to work, sleep or relax while traveling to Dubai for approximately 13 hours or to Moscow for approximately 10 hours.
