is Chile's main venue and one of the most important event centers in Latin America with a total area of more than 130,000 sqm/1,400,000 sqft (10,000 sqm/107,650 sqft built). It was designed to be able to stage any event successfully as its function space is totally adaptable to each event’s specific needs. In addition, it is equipped with the most advanced technology of its kind and responds to the highest quality standards. It was the chosen venue for the prestigious World Congress of the International Federation of Gynecology & Obstetrics (FIGO) held in 2003 and the 2004 APEC Summit, among others. Besides Santiago, which is equipped to hold up to 10,000 delegates, most of Chile’s main cities have facilities to hold international meetings for up to 1,000 delegates. Some cities equipped with infrastructure for MICE programs are Iquique and La Serena in the North; Viña del Mar in the Central Region; and Concepción, Valdivia and Puerto Varas in the South.
