Inner Harbor

Baltimore's Inner Harbor is one of the most photographed and visited areas of the city. It has been one of the major seaports in the United States since the 1700s and started blossoming into the cultural center of Baltimore in the 1970s. National Aquarium in Baltimore

Housing more than 16,000 creatures, the National Aquarium exhibits a variety of species in their naturalistic habitats. You'll find animals such as stingrays, sharks, sea turtles, bullfrogs, phytoplankton, monkeys, sloths, iguanas, puffins and thousands more. You can also catch an up‑close view of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins as they leap and tumble with the National Aquarium trainers in the live‑action Dolphin Show, Our Ocean Planet.

Maryland Science Center

At the Maryland Science Center you'll find three floors of demonstrations to exercise your imagination and challenge your mind. See exciting combustible reactions, eye‑boggling optical illusions and learn about lasers. Hands‑on exhibits include a voyage through the human body and learning how microbes work for us. In addition to its IMAX theater and planetarium, traveling exhibits abound, so there's always something new see and learn.

American Visionary Art Museum

This national museum and education center for outstanding original works of art created by intuitive, self‑taught artists features banquet facilities perfect for large or small events – this Sculpture Barn can accommodate up to 125 for a seated dinner or 250 for standing cocktails; the Jim Rouse Visionary Center can accommodate 400.

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine

This 18th‑century brick fort defended Baltimore Harbor during the War of 1812 and is the birthplace of the American national anthem. Park rangers offer visitor programs and special events that highlight the park’s history. Visit the birthplace of "The Star‑Spangled Banner!"

Port Discovery Children's Museum

Port Discovery, the Children's Museum in Baltimore offers three floors of educational and interactive exhibits, programs and activities for children ages 2‑10 years old. Ranked among the top five children's museum in the United States (Child Magazine, Feb 2002)! Additionally, the museum can fit up to 1,500 guests for a reception and 500 for a banquet.

The Walters Art Museum

Acclaimed as one of the best art museums in the United States, the Walters offers 55 centuries of art, including Egyptian mummies, medieval armors and 19th‑century masterpieces. The Walters also holds world‑class traveling exhibitions. General admission is now free.
