Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD) is one of the largest airports in the world and has received major international awards from Business Traveler magazine. It is based just 17 miles/27 km from downtown Chicago and has comprehensive travel connections by bus, train or car. Chicago ORD Airport is also easily linked to Chicago's other airport, Chicago Midway Airport, by shuttle buses and there is a METRA station at the airport for travelers heading to the city center.

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) offers fast, direct train service from airports to downtown along convenient bus and train lines to major attractions and provides custom trip planning for groups.
The Metra Commuter Rail also provides convenient train service from the suburbs.

Taxis/Watertaxis

There are thousands of taxi cabs in Chicago. Fares begin at $2.25 and increase $0.20 for each 1/9th of a mile. During warm weather months, you can also board one of Chicago's famous water taxis which run along the Chicago River or lakeshore.
